These are the lowest cost pipe flashing’s available and usually have a life cycle of around 10-15 years in our area. We prefer using a higher quality longer lasting pipe flashing for our roofing replacement jobs. However, these are an excellent choice for roofing service projects.

Which pipe flashing will you choose on your next roof?

  1. Pipe Boots: These are one of the most common types of pipe flashings. They are typically made of rubber or thermoplastic materials and come in various sizes to fit different pipe diameters. Pipe boots have a flexible base that seals around the pipe and a flange that is attached to the roof.
  2. Cone Flashings: Cone flashings, also known as multi-size flashings, consist of a conical shape that can be trimmed to fit different pipe sizes. They are adjustable and versatile, making them suitable for various pipe diameters.
  3. Vent Collars: Vent collars are designed for use around vent pipes. They usually consist of a metal collar that fits around the pipe and a flexible or rubber boot that seals against the roof. Vent collars are suitable for different pipe sizes.
  4. Pitch Pans: Pitch pans are often used for irregularly shaped or large penetrations. They are metal pans filled with a compatible sealant and placed around the pipe penetration. The sealant is used to create a waterproof barrier.
  5. Split Flashings: Split flashings are designed to be installed around existing pipes without the need to disconnect the pipe. They have a split design that allows them to be wrapped around the pipe and then sealed, making them suitable for retrofitting.
  6. Lead Flashings: Lead flashings are durable and malleable, making them suitable for various pipe sizes and shapes. They are often used for long-term weatherproofing and are resistant to corrosion.
